Scotland – A country with an incredibly beautiful landscape that is right around the corner wherever you live. The people are generally very friendly, and the cosy pubs are great for a night out. It’s also the country with probably the most seasons within one day. And the origin of food inventions like fried Mars Bars, fried Pizza, fried everything.

Especially when you live in Scotland, you will come across some things that are handled a bit different than on the continental mainland. Even though our cultures are not geographically far away from each other, you can sometimes feel like an alien when you move to Scotland. And start to miss simple things like a good loaf of bread.

In this section of the blog, we collect all the differences we found out so far between Scottish and Continentals.

We also share all the tips we find useful for other Continentals, for example where you can find your favourite continental groceries, restaurants, or other gems. There is a section on immigration as well where you can find information on everything you need to organise before you move to Scotland, even if it’s just for a short period.

If you want to find out tips for where you live in Scotland, then take a look at our locations section and scroll through the articles we have published for your place so far.
